How to get the look of graphic artist Mags Ocampo

Homeroom Creatives’ art director shows us how to take a fun, creative approach to everyday dress, without going overboard

A fun-tastic focal point

“Dressing up is the fun part of my day, [so] I try not to be too serious with it. I always start with one fun or loud piece as a focal point.”

Tailor swiftly

“I love paring down the color or prints with more tailored or more casual pieces. It’s not a costume; it also has to function.”

All about that base

“Switching up the mood or vibe can be enjoyable, but there’s also a base character and that’s you. You don’t change who that is, so keeping your looks grounded is important.”

Shimokitazawa district (Tokyo, Japan). “You get access to beautiful designer or archive pieces at
really low prices.”

F Calderon St corner, Session Rd (Baguio, Benguet). “There’s a three-floor complex there with a surprisingly good selection of smaller, low-key designer goods.”

Makati Cinema Square (Makati, Metro Manila). “It’s my go-to for slacks. They always have great office
wear pieces.”
