Would you rather swim by the beach or kayak by the river once that last Zoom call has been made? Well, you can do both at Punta Riviera Resort, where the Malinos River meets the South China Sea.  If 30-minute laps help energize your day, you can go for morning swims at their infinity pool overlooking the sea.  Whatever your choice, you will be surrounded by water and lush nature. A two-week stay for members of Baybayin Hub, a website that specializes in workcation deals, starts at Php37,000. That includes free WiFi, weekly room service, access to a co-work space and use of the resort’s sports facilities.


For a minimum stay of five nights, Belmont Hotel Boracay offers breakfast for two people, a speedy WiFi connection and one-time use of a meeting room for four hours. Located on the northeastern part of the island, Belmont Hotel has a private beach where you can hang out in between working on your PowerPoint presentation. Save time and skip the line at the front desk by checking in using Belmont’s e-concierge app, which also allows you to tailor how you interact with the staff during your stay. A minimum stay of five nights will set you back Php2,794 per day,

If you prefer to stay near White Beach, Casa D’ Estrella on Station 2 offers not only serene backgrounds and priceless Zoom backdrops but also budget rooms that will cost you Php25,000 for a month, exclusive of utility bills that’s estimated at Php500 a week. Guests get free coffee and WiFi access, and a co-work space run by booking website Work From Paradise is set to open soon.


Those who are tired of working on the same coach and looking out the same view day-in and day-out at home might find some reprieve in a change of scene at Kingfisher Resort in Caparispisan, Ilocos Norte. There will be something that will fit your budget here with their Casita, Beach Hut, and Tiki House accommodation choices. Whether you stay in a fan room or an airconditioned casita, you will still have access to the same stunning views, co-work space, and activities on the resort, like kiteboarding, windsurfing, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, and snorkeling, This is a pet-friendly resort, so it’s perfectly okay to have your furry loved-one tag along. Each bungalow has WiFi so you can catch up on your deadlines at any time of the day, and you can pay extra to boost your connection speed. At the end of a productive day, you can go on a quiet walk in the garden filled with fruit-bearing trees, swim in the infinity pool, or head to the beach.
