The Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) has launched a one-stop portal tracking domestic travel advisories — so tourists itching for leisure travel can better plan their post-lockdown itineraries. Filipinos can now know all the tourist spots in the country that have already opened, and who are allowed to visit these places, in one convenient website: philippines.travel/safetrip
The DOT assures that it is “ensuring that tourism stakeholders implement the safety protocols and series of precautionary measures set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Department of Health (DOH), and is promoting habits that the public can adapt to contain the spread of the COVID-19.”
Along those lines, the travel bureau also notes that “travel protocols and other health measures in place in key areas and locations to reduce the risk of imported cases and community transmission” — but the DOT has conveniently placed these and other quarantine guidelines in the microsite, along with a thorough list of accommodations that have been given certificates of authority to operate and the steps that airlines have been taking to better ensure everyone’s safety.
Click through the travel advisory microsite and start planning those trips, folks.
